A quick history

The Bank of England Cricket Club has a proud history, and provides one of the best settings and some of the finest cricket pitches in London. The Colts section of the club was started in 1993, thanks to the inspiration and enthusiasm of Barry Brown. What began with just a handful of young cricketers has grown into a thriving club with over 150 members aged between 8 and 16.

Our season runs from the last week in April until the end of July each year. We have teams at all age levels competing in the Surrey leagues. Each team has a Manager, supported by qualified cricket coaches.

Our aims

Our aims are simple. We want to encourage youngsters to enjoy playing cricket, refine their skills in a safe environment, and develop quality players who want to progress from the Colts section into the senior teams of the Bank of England Club and beyond.
