Information for the Season 2008
The Colts Section has become very popular and we find season after season our age groups are full.
It is very important to register your interest in playing cricket at an early stage. Due to the
demanding amounts of administration, we are adopting a new method to do this, simply print this page
and complete the form details, then send to the Colts Secretary for processing. Invitations will ONLY
be sent out when places become available. Priority is given to Bank of England Sports Club Members.
COACHING- Friday evenings from 6-30pm to 8-30pm [Last week in April to last week in July]
All coaching and age group management is provided by volunteers. Many are ECB qualified coaches.
Professional [paid] coaching is also provided in rotation throughout all age groups during the season.
DRESS- All Colts must wear suitable games clothing, preferably cricket whites.
Full cricket clothing will be required when representing the Club in matches.
DISCIPLINE- The Colts Committee policy is to ensure proper standards of discipline, behaviour and
sportsmanship on and off the field.
ASSISTANCE FROM PARENTS- As mentioned above, all helpers are volunteers, and we welcome
assistance from parents who may be able to umpire, score, transport players, do the friday register
or manage a team.
KIT- The Colts Section has a number of bats, pads, gloves and helmets per age group, however,
many players prefer to bring their own kit.
The Bank of England Cricket Club is affiliated to the Surrey County Cricket Club, and the Colts
matches played, are in the Surrey league, NEC and Cup competitions.

Colts cricket coaching and all activities in supporting an age group are all carried out by parent helpers, including coaching,
match managing, umpiring, scoring etc. In the younger age groups this is particularly needed, please tell us if you are able to assist
on Friday Night training sessions.
